As Turkey I looked around and noticed the -3 stability in Persia so decided to attack them, especially since their provinces are richer than Europe's. I only wanted to annex 3 provinces in this war but Persia wouldn't succumb so I ended up annexing the entire nation and getting badboy up to 26. What kind of surprised me was that there were no revolts. So, Persia really should have not one national province? I lost a few provinces in Europe when everyone ganged up on me but it was worth it. Is Persia much easier to take out now in the IGC? I was playing at the hardest difficulties.

There is no national revoltrisk in noneuropean provinces. You will get problems with religion, though, as soon as You´ll go to expand into catholic territory. Because then You will have to carefully balance religious tolerance (and probably curse the day where You decided to go for shiite provinces).

Ah yes, I avoided the Catholics. Most of those provinces that Turkey has CBs for in Europe are very weak (low income). I actually gave some of them up so that neighboring nations would lose their CB against Turkey (not possible with Venice though I think). After Persia, India is just waiting to be taken. They are the same religion and politically isolated so it seems fairly easy to diplomatically annex them. I traded maps with Oman and built a colony in East Africa and went for level 11 Land tech as quick as possible. Ahmed made the trip around Africa (too bad he didn't start in Persia) with the help of 3 African colonies (including Table) and an Algiers alliance and spent many years in the South China Sea.

Note: Piri Reis wasn't really an explorer but an Admiral who compiled an extremely accurate map of the entire world. I searched for a legit Turkish Explorer but couldn't find one but I recall someone in this Forum mentioned one. That said, renaming Ahmed to Piri Reis might be a good idea anyway.
