I'm planning to buy everything Kerberos is going to release in the foreseeable future, so it's up to you Paradox, do you want my money or not?
Hopefully SotS 2 will someday reach a point where I can recommend it to my not die-hard 4X friends without being ashamed...

The strategical depth of this game is quite amazing.

Olwolf is my in-game chat name. I am wolfrider66 here. I would gladly help financially to get more functionality in Sword of the Stars 2. I play every day now. I bought two copies yesterday through Steam for a couple buddies. I hope the devs see this and keep making small patches with a little more stuff in each one like the encyclopedia, more info on the wiki etc. Even small things like that are very important to me. The fact is there is no other game out there with the kind of up close and gut punching combat that this game has. SotSII is a gold mine waiting to be tapped. space sims where one navy lines up on the left side of the monitor while the opposing side lines up on the right just don't cut it for me. I know I'm not the only fan who would send in a video saying that SotSII has amazing potential. Let's get this game to where we all know it can be for crying out loud! How it was launched doesn't matter only it's potential. I am ready to help.

I was quite happy to see more and more 4x games coming out recently, and some are very enjoyable, but none have captured and held my interest like SotS and SotSII.

Well, one of most ambitious and one of the best 4x space games ever created, it's a great game though it surely has some problems still (especially the weak AI, limited diplomacy) which an expansion could improve. And yes, I agree, an expansion would be welcome, I even think that an expansion is necessary, as such a formidable game deserves being expanded.
hey, i sure as hell would pay up to € 40 for another expansion since i got EOF for free.
sots2 has its problems but is easily the best space 4x out there, and with some more funding could become a milestone in 4x gaming!!!
