As much as I love Paradox and buy (almost) everything they develop, I won't buy anything that requires a CD to be in the tray to play. I haven't used my DVDROM drive since I bought my laptop six months ago. Screw DRM.

PI has stated again and again that they are anti-DRM. Why is everyone ignoring that?

Jesus!

I want you to spell out EXACTLY what in this article makes you think indicates PDX will require you to put anything in your optical drive.

Do people just read DRM and automatically reduce their IQ by half? is DRM some kind of magic word that switches off primary cognitive function by reading it?!

How can we be any more clear:

Read my lips: NO DRM

What we will do is to promote and reward those who don't pirate games. So if you identify with the above statement you're going to have a better gaming experience going forward.

As long as it#s not a Ubisoft-like no DRM it shall be good.

(12,25% of original IQ left)
"grunt" Me no like DRM, me like Paradox games. Me happy rewards.
Me want know what rewards Paradox give me.
Because me hate piracy. Me hate conspiracy more.
Retroactive rewards available?:D

Maybe to get the point across, Paradox should change its name to "No DRM Interactive" or something alike :p.

I'm guessing it will be some sort of website or program where players can register their games (just like on this forum) to receive exclusive DLC, updates or beta patches. My question about DLC for Paradox titles seemed to be ignored by Paradox, so I imagine exclusive DLC for Rome, EU3, HOI3, etc. will be a big part of Paradox Connect, hence why they couldn't answer my question.

Or I could be totally wrong.

Meh.

That would be great actually. Talking of new or alt scenarios, or some tools, not just mods. I'm thinking, for example, in some of the HoI3 OOB's organizers, or applications managing statistics of gaming (would be great for AARs).

Whatever it is, if community is encouraged in order to create better developments based on Paradox games... will be good.
