I have a problem. I live in dorms and get my internet through the university's network. I have been unable to connect/have people connect to HOI2 multiplayer games, both valkryenet and direct internet connection. I am running nothing like zone alarm. I think my university has their own protective devices on my connection which i have no acess to that prevent me from playing. Does anyone know of any solution or workaround for this kind of thing? I know i can play HOI1 because i did it on this same computer when i lived at home and had my own internet. Please help!

If your univeristy shields it's internal network with a NAT enabled router (aka, your pc as an IP number that starts with 10. or 192.168.) then you're out of luck. When using a NAT enabled router requires you to setup port forwarding for ports 2300 and 47624 to your PC in the router, and I highly doubt your university network operators will let you do that ;)
