Thank you for your opinion! I want to clarify that there are actually about 60 million Ukrainians worldwide, including both those in Ukraine and the diaspora.
First of all, I don't know where you're getting that 60 million figure from, and second of all, so? "Ukrainian diaspora" =/= speaks Ukrainian natively, millions of monolingual English speakers in western Canada have ancestors who moved from Ukraine at the beginning of the 20th century. What about the people with Ukrainian roots in Russia, Kazakhstan, and the rest of the former USSR, I doubt more than a minority of them speak Ukrainian at all.
If Italians are not actively requesting localization or creating threads about it, maybe they simply don’t need it or don’t consider it a priority right now.
Oh they are, they're just not doing it with any political sloganeering or accusing those who disagree with them of being shills from another nationality, which makes them seem a lot more sympathetic.
If I pay for a product, I have the right to expect it to be as convenient as possible for me — including support for my native language. This is not about “special treatment,” but simply about good customer service and quality.
That's not how it works, if they advertised the game as being localized in Ukrainian, but then you buy it and it turns out that it isn't, then you'd have something to complain about. I don't even like the way Paradox does business but you're really whining over something that isn't warranted.

Guys can we please be respectful to one another? This isn't really a zero sum game. If pdx feels they'll make money from a market, they'll likely translate to that language eventually. We don't need to attack one another. I hope all major languages get their own localization. I feel blessed to have my language represented, and even though I speak another represented language I much prefer to game in my mother tongue and I assume everyone is similar. You guys likely won't get a translation before release, but assuming you keep making yourselves known respectfully I think it's viable you get one a year or two in :)

you are comparing a 60 millions that dont fully speak ukranian, that 20 millions of it left 20 years ago and 10 millions more of them became Russian citizens. to be compared to italy .

a diaspora that live elsewhere for 30 years are you really naive to think they will be asking to play in ukranian or should be taken into account for an investment ? are you mad ? unless high enthusiasts with a cause i dont see the rest doing like you and when uncertenty appear , then investment isnt worth it .

also i think you dont get a point , this game is a niche and average 4 digits players per country . your 30 millions we can only estimate at best 2000 ukranian players from each 100k buyers.
Many Ukrainians living abroad still actively use the Ukrainian language, sometimes even dialects like Lemko, and really try to keep our culture and traditions alive. The Ukrainian diaspora worldwide is about 20 million people, with large communities in Canada, the US, Poland, Brazil, and Argentina. They have Ukrainian schools, churches, and media to make sure the language and culture don’t get lost.

Maybe this seems strange to people from colonial countries, but for us it’s very important to preserve our language and traditions even far from Ukraine. And this isn’t just some hobby for a few enthusiasts — these are real people who speak Ukrainian every day and keep their identity strong. UNESCO also recognizes Ukrainian as a language with a strong cultural presence worldwide. So don’t underestimate how many people truly support our language, even outside Ukraine.

I want to be clear — I’m not forcing Ukrainian localization, just expressing my wish as a paying customer. In any market economy, customers vote with their wallets. If Paradox thinks adding Ukrainian isn’t worth it, I simply won’t buy the game. That’s how it works.

About the “60 million Ukrainians worldwide” — that includes people in Ukraine and the diaspora. Many Ukrainians abroad, including in Canada, actively use the language and preserve culture better than some in Ukraine. I have friends and relatives who are third-generation Ukrainians and still speak Ukrainian daily. I’ve even ordered old Soviet-era Ukrainian books from Canada.

Yes, fewer speak Ukrainian in Russia and Kazakhstan, but even some ethnic Russians near the Ukrainian border speak Ukrainian fluently — that’s a fact.

Looking at Paradox’s supported languages — English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Turkish — Ukrainian is the major European language missing. If smaller languages get support, then Ukrainian certainly deserves it too.

This isn’t about nationalism or “special treatment,” it’s about fair recognition and good customer service. If Paradox finds it economically unreasonable, that’s their decision. But ignoring millions of active Ukrainian speakers worldwide is shortsighted.

In the end, I’m not begging — I’m a paying customer sharing my needs. If the product isn’t convenient for me, I won’t buy it. Simple as that.

what you mentioned are part of the aid and charity that your people recieved from various states and corporation including steam , it wasnt because of a growing market but because the world want to make access to things easy for you . you do realise how much your entire economy and industrial complexes are on life support right ? and the privileges you got recently are all thanks to that massive life support aid you are getting right ? how can you speak of growth in such events ?
its a fact so no need to lie to influence the devs too with distorted narratives please and stick to factuality because the entire timeline of event is well recorded . if you wanna talk about growing markets then brazil , the arabs and italians deserve priority. brazil got it and this leave arab world and italians waiting.
Arabic isn't getting one because of it's alphabet that's written from right right to left so you need to reverse the ui for it to not be a headache.

Which languages are smaller in that list? I can't see any.

Just to clarify — I didn’t mean Ukrainian is the biggest language on that list, but it’s definitely an important one. It’s pretty similar in size and significance to Polish, which is already there. So, even if it’s not the largest, Ukrainian is still a major European language that really deserves support.
