Ok, So I've been modeling the same thing now all day, I saved my FBX file a few dozen times and everything has been going smoothly. I'm using 3Ds Max to make my model, I decided to to just copy some of the existing planes and export another fbx file. This time when I used the asset editor it didn't show a preview. I don't know why it won't show... I literally did nothing out of the ordinary, been doing the same thing all freaking night.

I tried doing a reset xform and that didn't help. Yes I am collapsing my object into 1 mesh as well. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? Please help, I really don't want to have to remodel my object.

I found out my problem. For some reason, don't ask me why but it would not show a preview because I had grouped planes. As soon as I un-grouped everything and collapsed into one mesh it would finally preview again. I'm not sure why it randomly decided to stop working because I made a group, because I had been saving fbx files and importing all night with other groups.

Everything has to be as one object, be it in mesh or poly form, but not as separate objects. Also make sure all non-exporting items are deleted, as this can cause the same problem I found.
e.g. if you wanting 2 buildings as one import, they have to be attached as one object, so when you click one building both selected.

Not sure if you have figured it out, but at the risk of repeating what you may know, the game doesn't allow more than 1 object to be exported.
If you have created it all as separate objects, at the end before exporting, you need to group them.
