Hi all

I'm just playing my first GC (as Portugal) and I have all those nifty Explorers....

My problem is that very early on I stacked them in one fleet and now I can't unstack them.

I searched the boards here and someone mentioned that you need to 'reorganize' the fleet and that the new fleet would initially list a generic leader but you could use the orange arrow to select one of your explorers.

My problem is, this doesn't work. I have four explorers in this stack, being led by De Gama, but when I reorganize there is no orange arrow for the new fleet. I can only split into two fleets -- one of which still has all my explorers in it (which has an orange arrow) -- the other with some lowly pirate fodder colonel (which does not).

Can someone give me a clue why this isn't working for me? Thanks!

that's right. you gotta split them.
split them once, then split the remaining staked fleets again and agina until you have one explorer per fleet. then you can reorganize at will.

cheers

Griffon,

Thanks! I'm assuming you mean keep reorganizing them again and again until there is only one ship per explorer? My split button is always greyed out on ships and I can only use it for armies....which begs another question, why is that? Is this a bug or is there some reason why you can't just split a fleet in half?

Thanks again!:)

nope, I meant split. You should be able to split your navies as well. hmmm, don't know why it's always greyed out though. maybe a good sould can explain it to us.

There is a minimum size requirement for splitting Fleets (10 ships I believe, mayby more if you have more then two naval leaders stacked).

IOW, add a few more dingies to that fleet and your split button will light up.

Splitting Stacks with Generals?

Having had the confusion and embarassment to stack two generals (not conquistadors, who apparently have sufficient egos to separate easily) together, I was unable to get them separated via "reorganize". So, if I am following this thread correctly, I should have used "split" instead? Dang.

that's right jlrogers.

Huszics: Thanks.

BTW, is that your last name? does it mean something? I always spell it wrong (I do apologize :( )
