I for one am happier to see this game get completed than I would be a new map. As someone who has done a lot of homebrew modding, it incorporates many things I've wanted to be able to do for years.

In EU2 I like the WATKABAOI map, though not so much that I've moved from primarily playing AGCEEP on the Vanilla map. I would however say that both WATK and MyMap suffer from crowding and lack of clickability in some provinces. I hope that the AGCEEP map takes ease of use into account and balances it against the desire for exact geographical accuracy. It is after all a game, and one played on an archaic-style map, simulating an era when maps were far from 100% accurate or to scale in any case.

As for the number and distribution of provinces, I too would like to see more provinces and less PTI outside of Europe, however the game is also set in an era of overwhelming European dominance, and the economics of the game and the layout of the map should reflect that. Want to play as a non-European power in that era? You should EXPECT a challenge. Given that people have managed WCs starting as pagan African minors on the Vanilla map, it should be doable.

Ah! I'd also agree that in maps with more provinces (WATKABAOI comes to mind) there really should be a way to reduce BB, as it becomes difficult to reproduce historical results without lots of random insane BB wars. If it is, or could be made, editable in the game engine, that would be a great way to deal with it. If not, then I think events would need to be scripted so as to to reduce BB for following historical expansion paths.

In any EU2 map you can reproduce historical results without passing the BB limit. Problem is most players want to unite the British Isles in 1450 and conquer half of Europe by 1600...

BB values can be adjusted in the new defines.txt file. Here are the standard values:
Code:
	_COUNTRY_BB_PROVNOEVENT_      = 1.00 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_PROVEVENT_        = 0.25 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_PRIVATEER_        = 1 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_CHANGERELIGION_   = 1 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_DOW_              = 1 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_DOWNOCB_          = 1 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_DOWBADREL_        = 4 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_PLAYERDIVIDER_    = 3 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_ANNSAMERELIGION_  = 5 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_ANNOTHERRELIGION_ = 2 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_LIMITBASE_        =  30 #Positive
	_COUNTRY_BB_LIMITRULE_OFFSET_ = 371 #Positive
Enjoy!

And AGCEEP already implements BB reduction for AI Ottoman Empire for example, even for the "old" EU2 map.

Adjustable BB values!!!

I love this game more and more and more

And yes, I've seen the Ottoman BB-reduction events, with the extra ones for the AI. Used the same concept for homebrew mods as a way to keep things sane when nations follow historic behavior.

Actually, that feeling of playing "in" history is a huge part of what I love about EU2 in AGCEEP, and by extension why I am sure I'll like For The Glory. It is what truly sets it apart. There are many many strategy games out there where one can play a nation with a real-world historic name, but which is otherwise abstract and interchangeable with its rivals.
