It seems both 867 and 1066 are confirmed, with 769 being unlikely (which I'm not fussed about).

However, please include the 936 Iron Century bookmark in CK III - personally I used a modified version with more detail, but even the vanilla version is more fun than the two earlier ones. I would happily play this and 1066, and as you went to the effort of researching it for CK II it would be a huge shame to overlook it for CK III.

Hard agree. The Iron Century has quickly become my favorite Western European start date, balancing the chaos of 867 and the predictability of the powerful established states of 1066. Thankfully the new US Gamer article indicated they're planning to add more than just the two start dates, so hopefully it's on the table.

In my most recent Iron Century game, the pagan realms of the North are all falling to Christendom, but the African religion(!) has managed to reform, which I've never seen before. So much fun.
