Plenty of food not harvested, no one working multiple food sources, people are starving. I have crops ready to havest, dead animals, and fishing piers why is no one working those sources while they all starve?

I'm sure I had carriers when this started, but probably not anymore. I attached 2 files, one earlier this afternoon and then the last one.

Well, without free carriers nothing can happen.

Do you have a save with free carriers that shows this problem?
 
No, I do not. I've only been playing a few days. Quite frankly, I'm glad I didn't pay for this game. I like the concept and mechanics, but these kind of issues just kinda kill the game for me.
 
Well, this is a deliberate design decision, not a bug or poor implementation - without free carriers there is no one to do the work of moving stuff around. I'm not sure how else the game could work!

Can you then free up some carriers and see if things sort themselves out?

I tried, to no avail.

I started again. I'm going slower on the build and trying to keep a good count of carriers. So far so good.

Why keep producing Plastics when you need workers to do something else?
My recommendation is to take workers off Plastics and Planks and Firewood as you have plenty of quantity for those items. If you don't want to micro-manage workers, use the Production Limit feature on the producer buildings. And when the limit is reached, those freed workers can now take on carriers' tasks.
Stop construction that is near hostiles as that is killing off your colonists. Use the Overlay --> Living Beings.


And for every producer building have a storage close by as they would need to drop off resources to Storage, and then travel back and that traveling back-and-forth wastes time. And when they need to eat, wash, sleep, get medical care, the work gets interrupted.

All of which is part of the strategizing plan. Which takes time to learn the mechanics of the game, so just give yourself that time.
