I voted Russia. I love to slowly build up my manpower to strike later with my hordes under Suvorov 
England for its splendid isolation that makes it so easy to hypertech and later on hit them hard from an invulnerable position. It takes a grand coalition to bring the English navy down in the latter part of the game.

Austria, don't need to worry about trade, just build loadsa weapon manus and forts and men.
France... Just like it... It was my first MP country so it has some sentimental feeling..

Portugal, because no matter how well (or bad) you play, you are never safe, you are always vulnerable. You need to be altert.
The Netherlands, beause I like the colours and the shape of the mainland.

Ottoman Empire, because you can expand really fast and not too far away from home... (Persia, North Africa, East Africa, India if you're up to it....) and if you ally with France you can gang Austria really easy.
France, as my brazilian friend said... it was also my first MP country and I still think the best game I played - old Europe Unleashed I.
Also it can do colonization, trade and wars in continental europe and even if defeated you can rebuild and take revange later. So fun!!!

Denmark. A commonly underestimated country. Has one of the best leaderfiles for the first century, and good starting income, making it good for rushing. It has a lot of lucrative options, Stockholm, Berlin, London. It also has a good chance of dominating trade early with its decentish 16th century monarchs and extra merchants from proty ports.
Austria. Exciting diplomatic position. You get to fight France, which is always fun. I like the flag on the soldiers too .

Portugal, I'm reknowned good boy and a trader .. even though I haven't played in an MP, it's the rightful country for me
