I seem to be unable to build a port in province 4012 (guaymas, mexico). That includes when I try to mod/fix the files to enable it myself. There is no port icon for that province on the map either. To clarify- you can build a port (ie- it shows up on the province screen) but there is no port for your fleet to actually sail into

Can anyone at least post the necessary code to enable me to fix this myself?

Also Escort fighters range does not seem to effect the unit it is attached to at all.

Any thoughts/assistance would be appreciated.

Hi

Yes, I will fix the port problem

The escort fighters change the range, I tested and works fine (yes, in the production panel don't change the range but in the map works)

Thanks,

Any chance you could post the necessary information to fix the port issue myself please?

Im going to go back and check the escort fighter range issue again, to be sure.

Hi

You can edit db\provinces.csv. Find PROV4012, in the 'Port Allowed' put 1 ,in 'Port Seazone' the sea province, save and run (the game need 15 min the first time)

Thats the weird thing, Im quite an experienced HOI2 modder and I tried precisely that, yet when I did the game would hang at the loading screen (although I did not wait once the game froze. At this stage the task manager also listed the game as 'not responding' also).

I recall I tried this ages ago and it didnt work and I recently came back to the problem and had similar results.

When you mention 15 mins, do you mean loading time on the loading screen or something else?

If you're doing this on DH, yes, it's 15 min on loading screen (with new port you have to recalculate all distances port-to-port).

Im making a mod which is based on armageddon over IC but I'll give the waiting thing a try, I assume the calculations you mention will still have to work out even tho not on DH.

Thanks for the info everyone!
