Port-symbols cut in half on map

Hello everyone,

the problem is:
Only the left half of the port symbols (the circles showing docks inside) shows up on the map.

Info about game-version / OS etc:

HOI patched to 1.2 (uninstalled game and installed brand new before patching!)
OS is Windows XP, multi-lingual version
1 gig RAM
Intel P4 HT
Directx Version 9.something

Anyone else with this problem or even better: a solution?

Well that is a strange one I have never heard before.
Assuming it is not some wierd in game message.
I would say that the file did not install correctly.
I would say you best bet of success is to reinstall, sorry.

I got them to work again, it seems the .bmp I used for the ports was corrupted... at least that's the only cause I can imagine.

Replacing the harbour.bsp in the gfx\map folder fixed it.

Great, as I said I figured that was the problem, I just did not know if you had the skill to just replace that file, which is why I recomended the whole reinstall.
