I'm planning to start a new game as Portugal (1419). I'm going to play that with the latest patch. I wonder if it's more sensible to play it with EEP or just plain GC. Any experiences? I like events, so EEP sounds better, but as far as I remember Portugal has quite many of those in GC also. Some people also say, that Portugal is too easy with EEP (too many good events or something like that...). Is that true?

Ps. And I wouldn't like to see France moving its capital to North America, again...

it's easy because you get a lot of explorer, but you have to pay them very much: i always have to get loan.

try it i think it's more realistic.

(p.s. your capital should stay where it is 4 all the game:D )

Isn't the eastern-african setup screwed up somewhat? The events being compatibile with Zanj, and Zanj having been split into several nations?

Yes, the former Zanj country was split into several ones, as it was IRL. Plus, Oman doesn't start owning Zanzibar: it's owned by Kilwa.

Portugal is far more worthwhile playing with the EEP. You get nice events, more leaders... several events regarding the Canary question, for example. And many others. Try it!:D

PS: In my portuguese AAR I've posted screenshots of several EEP-only events.
