My wife's and mine city at the start of our 7 hour run (so far). Now it's 5000+ citizens, back then it was a meager 16.

I don't have the most spectacular town to start off with as I just started playing yesterday, but at least it's cozy:

Pumpkin Spice, population some odd seven hundred people.
Population just over seven hundred people, European building theme. Plan to make it a college town and see where it goes from there. I'm buying tiles to expand down into the valleys along the river, we'll see how that goes.

About 4,300 people so far. Density of the downtown is probably still a bit much this early and I probably should've been making more low density sprawl, but overall I'm really liking how more natural and realistic even small towns feel.

Neighborhood I'm currently working on. Row housing with some medium dense "project"-style housing in the foreground. Will eventually replace the shops with mixed zoned.

My new city is going pretty well, reclaimed land around the docks to make it feel more industrial, but now I regret it as it just looks cheat-y. The east half of the city is just started being developed it's not going to stay like that. I plan on another, small town that was absorbed into the growing city, style district along the south coast
