To help Snowball and Paradox in the future decision of first screenshots release, I had an idea. :)

Posters post in this thread their 3 screenshots they would like to see first, in order of preference.

Try to be as orderly, concise and cooperative as possible. This thread should be only to state our order of preferences, nothing more. We should discuss and debate our preferences in another thread.

Also, neither Paradox or Snowball are obligated to comply with our preferences if there is a consensus. Yet, it could surely help them both to concentrate on preparing the best screenshots possible and to satisfy our impatient crave. :)

Ok.

1. Family/dynasty tree
2. Diplomacy screen
3. Province improvements selection screen

Did I understand your "request" correctly?

Yes, you did. :)

You can be as precise as possible. From "main map" to "Coat of arms of King of XYZ". :)

For comments and debates over it, we should open another thread.

Great idea Drakken! Here's my top three in order of preference:

1- Political map of Byzantine Empire (including parts of Seljuk territory to the east & south and the Balkan states to the west)

2- Religion screen / map (Sergei had mentioned this in a previous post) If it's an EU-like map, all the way zoomed out if possible, curious about the pagan territories in Eastern Europe :)

3- Family tree screen for any playable dynasty

Here are my two cents' worth:

1. Dynasty Tree
2. A Trade Screen
3. A Screen Showing Combat (if there is a combat-specific screen) or a Screen Showing Combat Units (perhaps in battle)

1. Denmark
2. Trade
3. Diplomacy

1) A map of the Levant.
2) Combat/siege.
3) Family tree.

One problem:

Screenshots are released while the game is being developed. Therefore certain screenies may be released because all of the features there are complete, while other parts of the game are still under construction.

1) map
2) city improvements screen
3) Diplomacy screen (with options)

I agree with BB that what we will see will reflect the progression involved in developing the game. So the items that will change least are likely to be first available.

My preference would be for whichever screenshot shows us the ways we can make decisions. If you make major decisions through the map, then teh map. If through a diplomacy screen, then that one.

Sorry Drakken for not following your format.

This vaguely reminds me of when my wife was developing teh computer system for the local coroner's court. To keep the judges et al happy they had a demo with all these dummy screens. Kept the clients happy, and she could go on doing the important work setting up the system. I can't remember whether the final looked much like the demo. Admittedly, for a game, teh interface and look are major components.

1. Map over Normandy and the English south coast
2. A screen over different troop types
3. A screen showing the different diplomacy options.:)
