Hey, I'm trying to make a setting change mod that adds (amongst other things like magic and living gods and a new world) goblins and egg-laying reptile people. I'm to change pregnancy for both of these- for Goblins I want to just make it shorter, but for Lizards my plan is to cancel the pregnancy altogether, throw up an event for laying eggs, and then re-conceive and immediately plop out the child after the eggs have hatched.

My problem is I can't work out how to do this. It could be done with new_character etc but that has issues with the true father, genetic traits etc. I'd rather just use an event timer to do give_birth or something, but my issue then is that a command for give_birth (or an equivalent) doesn't actually exist as far as I can tell. It exists as a console command, but that's no use to me.

Does anybody have any insights here? I'm looking for a relevant command or failing that a good workaround.
