Will there be any type of preload for the beta before we receive a key if we completed the form?

Can we get a ballpark size of the file of the download? I'm just curious how long it will be once it goes out before I'm able to play with my internet speeds.

System requirements say 32 Gigs.

that would be for the game and not the beta i am sure.

Also read somewhere that keys will be send on 15th march... umm isnt that when the beta starts as well?? i mean should they not be send a day before so that people with slower internet can download it...

(not that i had signed up for it, due to bad time zones :( )

Sorry to be that guy, but if your Internet speed is awful, maybe don't sign up for time limited beta tests. Or at least if you do, don't expect a preload to be provided to accommodate you. The beta test is going to be a lot of work for eugen already without them having to worry about pre-loads.

I think wargame red dragon is over 10GB but it's definitely not 32GB. Remember also that required space isn't the same as installation size, which is generally smaller.

As far as I'm aware there are no plans to pre-load the Beta client. Size wise, well, several gigs but that's not really saying much :p.

If your reading comprehension is horrible, maybe don't participate in message boards. I don't "expect" anything. I'm merely asking if it's going to happen so i can plan my free time accordingly and maximize time spent playing(like a good beta tester should). It's ok if there isn't a preload. I'm not "expecting eugen to accomodate me" or anything remotely beyond what they do in general for the player base in general. I don't think asking the question is out of line. I'd say sorry to be that guy, but I'm not.

Furthermore, zoob, another reason I asked is because I can load the beta on my laptop at my other house with superior internet and then just transfer it to the desktop when I get back.

Additionally, beta tests purposes are usually to determine how a game performs to all of its player base, not just those with optimal conditions. There was no "only apply if you have GB down and 1080ti" clause. People with slower(not useless, just slower) Internet are going to be playing the game. A beta test that is limited to demonstrating how the game runs with exceptionally perfect conditions wouldn't be of much value.

I would like to know when they're releasing it.... if it is the same time they've been doing the keys..... I may need to take tomorrow off.

8:30 am California time each time they've released keys, so not really. I don't remember a multiple release day but I may have missed it.

Apologies if I'm wrong, and that's very possible, but i thought I remember ed a day where they released a batch and then another batch shortly thereafter on twitter or something.

I would expect 6-8 gigs, doubt much more, and probably not much less. 30min for 100mbit. max. I feel for those with low bandwidth lines though.
