And where in this thread is this question answered? The steam page states "TBC". Someone just said that most PDX games have Linux support, but the question is legit.

As someone who has watched all the PA dev diaries by the introversion guys I hope that a quarter of their soul is being brought into the game. I can't say I am hyped when reading that there are already K9 and warden skins monitized behind a paywall, looking at the world map that looks like a copy from Two Point. I might give the 3D change a try though, the UI of PA is clunky.
I will definitely not pre-order though after the scam that was Empire of Sin.

GoG = Good Old Games ; I don't think any of our recent games are there.
To be fair, the name of the platform could mostly be considered a legacy name now. True, it started as a platform that offered old (mostly DOS) games to be compatible with modern OS.
But today it has also new games in its catalogue like Steam or Epic. It still offers the best support for old games, though.

I'm hyped! I loved the original Prison Architect and this new career mode is interesting and I would definitely like to know more about it. It seems the lots are more pre-defined and technology is expanded. Do they also tie-in with the career mode and is there a dedicated dev diary about career mode coming? I liked building consecutive prisons and amassing more wealth to kick start a new prison and although I liked that option but the progression felt lacking and I am looking forward to how it is developed into an actual career mode.

We have lots of information to share over the next two months. Keep an eye here on our forum, as well as our other socials. Including the new Youtube channel, where we have the first Dev Highlight scheduled for Friday :)

Looking forward to learning more, I just hope it doesn't lose some of the systems and complexity that PA 1 has that made it feel alive, absolutley loved PA 1.
I've seen similar attempts at a 3D prison (or v. similar) builder and they just didn't have that magic formula that PA1 had, it made them dull, lifeless and boring.

Hoping prison size isn't highly limited based on a plot, like say.. Two point Hospital, also. Guess I will have to wait and see more.
Fingers crossed

Seeing as this another PDX game where previous versions had Linux support, and the new release doesn't this is another game (where I own the first part) that I'll be skipping.

I won't pay for regression in features I care about.

A big surprise and I think will sell well.

Think it’s brave to go 3d. PA has a certain charm to it, that makes it not so serious and fun for a sim.

How that looks in 3d will interesting.

What scares me is the map overview to be honest. That global prison view looks straight like something out a mobile game.

Pls god, let this be just PA1 in 3D and not some pseudo mobile game hybrid [...].
