Maybe I am misunderstanding something here regarding that event. I just had my wife murdered and the event popped up where someone tells me that she has been assassinated and presents a suspect with the choice of imprisoning the suspect or not believing her. However, the suspect was already in (one of my vassals) prison and it seems he was released now instead of imprisoned? :p

No sorry, I didn't think about making a separate save file. I am pretty sure he was not imprisoned afterwards, because at first I thought that I could imprison him rightfully afterwards, which wasn't possible. And in my quick messages it only said "... was released from your vassal's prison".
