Privateer wont start..

Hi,


Just installed EiC Privateer. The game shows the first three videos just fine and then it crashes, showing a windows XP failure prompt, asking me to submit an error report.

1) I tried re-installing the game without any luck.
2) I tried changing all the parameters in the options.txt file as shown on this forum to make the game run easier on my low end graphics card (it has worked fine for EiC).
3) The log shows up with the following error:

My op. system is Windows XP

Did you notice that Privateer addon has it's own options file in My Documents/East India Company/Privateer/Config/options.txt. Try to lower the graphics settings from there.

If that didn't solve your problem please post the whole log.html.

Thanks a lot, I simply wasnt aware that the options.txt had another path than to the games installation directory.
