Ok, so I uninstalled Armageddon and reinstalled. Now whenever the game is at the loading screed just after starting it up, I get an error from about a line in a save game when I don't have any, its a fresh install. Any idea how to fix this? It won't even allow me to get to the main menu.

Thanks, but also I should mention that for some reason after I use the 1.2 all inclusive patch from gamersgate, the scenario plates for the scenarios 'Abyss' and 'Armageddon' dont show up. So is it possible I downloaded a bad 1.2 patch? In the mean time I'll just do the manual uninstall. Thanks again.

Hopefully they are all related and will be fixed with a manual uninstall/reinstall. If not let us know. :)

Thanks man, I use vista so everything in that manual uninstall was different.

The path for me in vista was C:\users\myname\appdata(which is a hidden folder)\local\virtualstore\programfiles\paradoxinteractive

Took me a while to find. Thanks again for the support, hopefully this will work. If not I'll be back. Peace.

Turn off UAC in Vista

Also dont install in the default folder c:\program files.....

Vista likes to remap things "for your protection" :)

Yeah, I turned off UAC, but it was after all of this and I'm not sure I did a thorough manual uninstall. The problems with Arma still go on. No problems with DD 1.3a though. Is there a verified manual uninstall method with vista? Thanks for the help again.
