Hi

I just bought this game but I am very disappionted that I am unable to play it because of a problem. The problem is that my mouse cursor and computer stucks during gameplay as well as there come a lot of message popups during the game which are unable to manage. For your information, I have two PCs. One is IBM Aptiva Pentium III, 256 RAM, and the other one is Pentium 4 with Nvidia 64 graphic card, 256 RAM, 80 GB hard drive. Also this computer's hard drive is partitioned into two parts and one part is for Windows 98 SE and the other is Windows XP Professional. I have tried the game on all of these but there is always the same problem. Also I have downloaded both of the English language patches from Paradox Plaza and tried them one by one, but the problem remains. I have the UK version of the game. Please let me know what to do. I will remain grateful to you.

Hi!
You wrote that you got in-game messages that you couldn't respond to; that is your frozen cursor symptom right? The game continues (new messages pop up), but you can't use your mouse, is that correct?
If the game froze totaly and forever you wouldn't get new pop up messages during that game session. Mmm. I am not sure about your situation... Does the game stuck forever or just for a certain period?

If the symptoms is not forever but in periods, maybe you have other programs running in the background, making trouble now and then?
Have you made an effort to close background applications on those systems? Lets check that to start with. If you have close everything relevant, maybe you neet to post some more information about DirectX, drivers etc

Okay let's try some standard things.
1) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
2) Set the color depth to 16BIT
3) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
