Problem Hosting MP

Perhaps someone could suggest what's wrong with my system. I have absolutely no problem playing MP as long as I'm not hosting. I have a stable service provider (BT) and bandwidth isn't an issue (I have broadband), and in fact the game crashes when I host a 16 player game even before I get a chance to unpause. And it doesn't just crash, it literally causes my PC to reboot. So everyone in the vnet screen selects - I press start. Connected msg appears for everyone, and just as the screen appears for the first proper in game display, my pc hardboots. Literally the whole pc just crashes and begins the reboot sequence. I'm running windows XP. I have a pretty high spec pc. A P4 1.8Ghz, 256ram. I don't suffer this sort of crash in any other situation and I hardly ever crash when I'm not hosting, and certainly don't get crashes that cause the whole PC to reboot. Any ideas? I installed a fresh version of EU2 a couple of weeks back, along with DX9 which I thought had solved the problem. An attempt to hosting last night proved this was not the case.

Okay, sorry for the delay, MrT is away for awhile.

Has this issue been resolved?

Best bet is to ask in the MP forum, and see what the expert there have to say.
