Problem installing and can't find the disk

Ok so I've downloaded 2.04 and it looks good. However I got a virus on my comp and started again on a new hard drive, the problem is that I can not find my HOI2 disk at the moment (my office is a state) so i just coppied over the old files from my orignial HD (checking for viruses ofcourse) but now the HSR installer can not find HOI2 installed, anyway around this? or am I stuck until I can find the disk again?

Darn it!! could some kindley person please move this to HSR section... :(
 
Unfortuanatly you're going to have to wait until you get the disk back. It's probably because there are a bunch of files missing that the installation would make, not in the main folder but in other places (in the registrey I mean)

Yeah thats what I feared... *goes to climb the mountain of CD's ready to fall and crush him* :D
 
it wont install cause it cant find needed registy entrys..
you can manually add them if you like.

just ask someone to export the paradox key and sub.. under hkey_local_machine/software and import them to your registry..
make sure to change the path according to your installation

Infcat I have my old registery in a txt doc as bckup... well i'm off to find it, stil cant find the disk... :)
