I changed to a new and more powerful computer some weeks ago, in the old one the game worked (slow bcs the computer was very old but it worked), in the new one i try to launch the program once installed and it seems to be launching, but in the end nothing happens and the desktop appears again, i attach you the features of my computer (windows 7):

Intel Core i7 - 2630QM CPU @ 2Ghz
Graphic card: Radeon HD 6770M

The log_metro file in the user Cities in motion folder is shown as follow:

Opened log in "userdata/log_metro.txt".

Hope that you can help me, thank you in advance!!

It is a notebook? If yes, those configurations are under energy settings. And there is probably a key combination to activate the AMD card. Like function key + one of the Fs key. Post the notebook model.

If not, you probably have a specific software for that. Like your drivers. Catalyst for AMD. Or try to disable the integrated graphic card in BIOS.

I, unfortunately, cannot give you step by step instructions because your case doesn't seem clear. Notebook or desktop? Do you have all drivers installed?

Click on the Start menu, and enter "power save" in the search field (no need to press enter).
Choose the first option: "Change poer-saving settings". Now change the settings to "High Performance". If you have a notebook, make sure it is connected to the charger.

Thank you for your answers, unfortunately i continue with the same problem. Douglarac, my computer is a HP 15,6'' Pavilion dv6-6196ss Intel Core i7 2630M.... Tried disabling intel graphic card in the devices manager, but not only it didnt work, but the webcam stopped working as well, had to enable it again. Giladteller, i found in the start menu the HP power saving, tried to place it at maximum performance, no success either....

I edit my post to say that i have found the catalist control center (radeon graphic card program) in my computer and also how to switch the energy settings to high performance (the most powerful graphic card is supposed to be working then) in certain programs, i have tried to switch the CiM exe file and the steam file to high performance and reboot the computer. No improvement... An interesting feature is that everytime i try to launch the CiM and it crashes, a "crash report" appear in the file <Program files/Steam/Steamapps/common/cities in motion> named "cities in motion_1125061_crash_2011_8_17T16_2_28C0", try to open it with the notepad but very strange signs appears..... somebody come up with any new ideas???

Have you installed the latest drivers for the graphic card? It might be that the card has old drivers since OpenGL is not supported. You can find the latest drivers from the the ATI website. Let us know how it worked out!
