Could someone please explain to me the following lines. They are located in defines.txt :

country = {
7 #_CDEF_BARBARIAN_TO_POWERFUL_
3 #_CDEF_BARBARIAN_DISPLACEMENTDIFF_
5 #_CDEF_BARBARIAN_LOOT_MULT_

military = {
0.025 # _MDEF_CONQUER_LOSS_,

Thank you

Honestly, I don't know.

The first could be a threshold that increases the chances of a horde being formed when the barbarian strength is above this value and the third I think is the amount of money the horde gains from looting provinces (ie they get 5 gold for every 1 that a normal army would get from looting a province).

No idea about the other two, though. The last one might have something to do with warscore value for losing a province?

Time to tinker and find out!

Not sure either.

Could CDEF_BARBARIAN_TO_POWERFUL have something to do with settligng barbarians in one of our provinces or when they take over your nation?

For me this sounds like the default amount of when barbarians are powerful enough to settle themselves without asking you..

Where is Johan when we need him the most :D

I did some tests for ''_MDEF_CONQUER_LOSS_'' and still don't know what it means. Changed it from 0.025 to 1.0 and 0.005, in all cases I had 1 warscore and conquered Phoenica had 12%(warscore).
Maybe it is the% of the local population being lost when the siege is over. If we look at the next line ''0.1 _MDEF_CONQUER_TO_SLAVES_'' (10% of conquerd province population to slaves?) it would make some sense.

LOOT_MULT is how much gold they take if they occupy a province. I'm not sure of the exact formula, but the higher this is, the more gold you'll get when defeating barbarians that have looted.

I've fiddled with the others and never really noticed a difference anywhere, so can't tell you. CONQUER_LOSS should probably be the amount of people lost when the province changes hands, but I distinctly remember changing it to no effect.

Come to think of it, I think BARBARIANS_TO_POWERFUL is the limit for when you can settle a province, so if barb power is over this, you can't send colonists.

Ah. Well, don't know then. I originally thought it was the number of pop under which barbarians would empty out a province, but tests say its not.
