As I wrote in CK forum (http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8624017#post8624017) I played a game in CK and exported it to AGCEEP. It crashed and didn't want to save. I played once again (CK) but in CK game crashes, after exporting game does not want to save. What can be wrong?

i had this problem when my save folder disappeared , be it a year ago

also playing nations with dots in name will not save example......... knights of st. John

Folders are on their places ;)
I didn't play nations like that (only Poland) but they were in game as they were created automatically in CK... Does it matter?

I played once in CK and later in EU2 (AGCEEP), in CK there was one order, I think of St. John but in EU2 it disappeared... And I sucessfully finished EU2 ;)

I have no idea about this problem and I don't know how CK export tool works but maybe there is something that is incorrectly exported or adapted to AGCEEP features like MUS tag special country owning hidden province 1614. Not sure at all.

Dots in names could be a problem but we removed them in recent AGCEEP versions because problem was also encountered for EU2 name of the savefiles.

First of all, I can't even see the point of exporting a CK game to AGCEEP. AGCEEP is meant to be a historical mod. Starting with CK there is no chance that the setup you'd get in 1419 would be even remotely historical. As a result, AGCEEP events and features will likely make no sense at all in your game.

Second of all, the converter you're probably using was certainly built for vanilla EU2. Like Yodamaster said, AGCEEP has a different use of tags, MUS being only an example, there are many others so the converter cannot work as designed.

As a conclusion, if you want to play an a-historical game, don't use AGCEEP. If you want to play an historical game, don't play CK.

Most events that would make no sense in a different setup are made so that they don't trigger in different setup so I don't think there will be many problems of that kind with exported CK game. It would be great if mammix could play his CK game in AGCEEP and report any events that don't make sense so that their triggers could be fixed. I doubt even Yoda managed to notice all missing "exists" triggers.

As I wrote, once I had sucessfully finished my CK-game in AGCEEP, so I think there should not be a problem with convertion...

While playing it there were some events which should not be existing- eg. my Castile received event about Bohemian troops, Shiites uprising in Timirud Empire and so on... But in this game they disappeared ;) I'll try to localise as many "bad" events as I can, if I could only play... ;)

Third Angel- AGCEEP is the best mod and I don't see any sense playing in vanilla any more... No events, stupid structures, no options... ;)
But in vanilla game does not crash, but I didn't try to save it...

Ok, I'll try with dots as I can't see anything else which I can easily fix ;)

EDIT: Oh, maybe this will help: I played this exported game in vanilla, saved and moved save to AGCEEP. Countries changed but there is no AGCEEP events or options... Game does not crash and it saves.

Definitively export tool not taken AGCEEP in account. Savefile doesn't contain informations related to AGCEEP files. I think you're "just" playing a vanilla game that is simply located in AGCEEP folder. It could end in weird results.

That's expected. It is a CK to EU2 conversion tool, not a CK to AGCEEP tool. Your save file doesn't contain references to AGCEEP events. You can try to "convert" your EU2 save to AGCEEP like this:

1) Start a game in AGCEEP and save it.

2) Open the save file (.eug) of your converted CK game in your favorite plain text editor (Notepad if you have nothing else)

3) Do the same with your new AGCEEP save you made in step 1.

4) In the AGCEEP save file, open the find dialog (ctrl + F) and search for "event = "AGCEEP\". It should find the line of text where event files are defined. Copy the whole line and paste it to the appropriate place in your converted CK save file (just above the line that says "interface = {")

5) Save the CK file and try playing it now.

It should work. This is the most important difference, but there might be some other differences that didn't occur to me. If it is so, I'm sure Yoda will point them out because he's an expert for that :)

Yeah, if anything such should be encouraged as it is a great way of checking to make sure our sequences only occur in reasonable situations.
