Prussia, Grand Campaign
version: 1.04 with OhGamers fixes applied, no other changes made

I think I found a problem with the "Fall of Prussia" event. What happened was that during the leadership war with Austria, France declared a colonial war on me. I won the fight against Austria, but the colonial war against France kept going for another 4-5 years. In the end I nevilled a white peace in 1871 out of fear that I might not get the chance to fight France for real and unify Germany. Well, the "Spanish Succession Crisis" event then fired and I chose "Accept." Immediatly afterward the "Fall of Prussia" event fired and I lost the Rhineland without a shot being fired.

I figure what probably happened was that the white peace I nevilled in the previously mentioned colonial war was counted as a win for France. Naturally though this doesn't make any sense as there had not been a "proper" Franco-Prussian war and of course a white peace hardly counts as a victory.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Im afraid my event writing skills are not up to the challenge. Suggestions?

I'll take a look - probably need to add a trigger that the Franco-Prussian War has started, the problem there is no trigger that separates out colonial wars from regular wars, at least as things are now. l

Yes but you were at war at the time right - a colonial war with France.

No this was after I had nevilled a white peace.
the timeline leading up to it was this:

1. leadership war with Austria begins
2. France declares a colonial war against Prussia
3. leadersip war with Austria ends (prussian victory)
4. A white peace is nevilled out of France
5. the spainish succesion event fires, I chose "accept"
6. fall of Prussia event fires shortly thereafter

Ah - the white peace you made, if you had a negative war score, is marked by the computer as a win for France. That is why fall of Prussia fired, though still not sure why FRA did not DOW you again, or did it choose not to push the issue?
