I did register on the forum last Tuesday (Oct 6), and I was informed that I should receive an email describing how to activate my registration. I have not yet received such a mail, but my new login is accepted. Also, I have registered my activation code for EIC, and it was accepted.

But I cannot do any more than if I have not logged in, i.e. I can only write to this Tech Support forum. I cannot post any reply or start any new thread on any of the other EIC forums. Also, I cannot edit my profile and some other administration things for my login. If I try, I get a popup page saying:

"$vbulletin->userinfo[username], you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: ..."

Last Wednesday (Oct 7) I did send an email to the forum administration (forum_admin@paradoxplaza.com) asking for help, but they have not answered yet.

This is the only remaining communication channel I have. Can anyone tell me what to do. Or am I forced to register another login?

I guess you hit spammer protection. You need to keep posting replies to other peoples' threads until more features get unlocked for you.

My problems

How can I have hit spammer protection before I have posted anything at all? How shall I keep posting replies, when I am denied to post in all forums but this Tech Support?

Is there any mod that could explain how exactly spammer protection in here works?

Kallocain I'm looking at you. :)

Finally I have today (Oct 12) received my activation mail from the forum administration, so now my login is finally working.

...and here I am, albeit a bit late. :)
Yeah, the activation e-mail needs to be answered first. Simple as that.
If it does not arrive, the person with the issue can contact an admin and we can fix this. Some spammers still slip through, but if we didn't have this we'd be totally flooded.
