i've searched the tech forum for similiar problems but without any luck :/
so i've decided to post this here since it is an mp problem and i'm not sure if it is a real bug - if it justifys a bugreport mail.

2 player mp game (germany/italy) on lan. all works quite well except that the client sometimes cant research a tech despite meeting all requirements for it. in addition already researched techs seem to vanish after loading a savegame at random :(

what bugs me too is that i can _only_ load the autosave and not any other savegame in mp. that means for us if we called it a day mid-month and i saved manually. the next time we play i have to rename my manual save 'autosave' in order to be able to load it.

addition: the reserach "bug" occurs in auto- and manually saved games.
we are using HOI2 1.1 with the no-timelimit mod (note all "bugs" already occured before we installed the no-timelimit mod)

is there any fix or workaround for this except waiting for 1.2? ;)

Íve posted and i think 2 others also posted about host-cliet out-of-sync in tech research. If you want to se how much do a test in your environment but with two as co-operative. Strange i thought this was more a internet phenomen than LAN. And i suppouse both of you had same date&time? speed not above normal?

About auto-save i cant tell.. i never use auto save. Random manual saves works fine in our MP games.
 
this is on a 100mbit LAN and we never had day/time mismatches between host and client even on fast.

yes i do manually save too but when i try to host the saved game i only have the option to load the autosave and have to manually rename my savegame to autosave.xxx to load it :S

EDIT: i've found some related topics and read that it might be related to host-client sync problems (the client finishes a research and assigns a new one while the host notices the client canceling a research at 99.XX%)

is (as the client) waiting 2-3 days after a research is finished a workaround for this until a real fix arrives? has anyone experimented with this? i will try it and post my experiences later - lets hope the best :D

try to scroll further down in list.. does the manual saves appear then?

It would be intresting to hear about your testing/resolving desync problem with host-client in your LAN game.
 
There is not much that can be done in Warsaw's Lan Group Germany couldn't produce some units so we decided to unload, it was a total mess, Germany was out of any resources with dissent and low ic - of course on players screen all looked superior. So dyssynchronisation is a problem in both net and lan games. With your save it is as Tangens write u have to click to scroll it down, normally saves in MP mode are hidden (do not ask me why).
 
yes the other saves appear after i click the scroll bar again _after_ reaching the bottom already odd but no real problem - thx for the tip ;)

my experience from one session with 1 crash (2nd in total thats pretty good compared to even the latest hoi1 version :p):

no lost researches so far due to the client always waiting at least 1 day before he starts a new one.

the "bug" with missing resources happened to us too but only once so far and i compensated for it with my res. but thats a serious gamestopper if it happens in a game human vs human (we were playing both in the same alliance so it didnt affect us that much)

This might be a good tip, waiting a few hours before picking next tech, it is also important not to alt tab without pause - it causes serious problems.
