Problem with the game Imperator: Rome

Good day, please help with the game: Emperor: Rome

When opening the launcher, it gives the following errors:

Database Error An unexpected error occurred while initializing the database. Please ensure that you have access to the file at C:\Users\Dolf\Documents\Paradox Interactice\Imperator\Launcher-v2.sqlite.

Launcher-v2.sqlite. folder is missing, what to do?
I tried to restore files via Steam, but there is still no such folder

It also gives the following:
Error accessing game data
No permission to write or read in the game data folder
And actually in the game itself in my game save when trying to save either manually or when autosave is triggered it gives this: Failed to create save. The reason may be the following
- Not enough disk space
- Damage to game files
- Problems due to installed modifications

From the last error in the game itself, I think the problem is actually in the missing file (Launcher-v2.sqlite.)
and also I have modifications, maybe the problem is in them?

Ah, that is usually an antivirus app getting in the way. What antivirus app do you use? You need to make sure all these apps are in its exceptions lists:

imperator.exe (in the Steam Imperator/binaries folder)
dowser.exe (in the Steam Imperator/launcher folder)
C:/users/{username}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2025.8/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users/{username}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

IF that doesn't help, Right click on Documents in the left column of File Explorer, just under This PC there. Go to properties, location. What does it say there?

Your advice works, and the game now plays and saves normally.
But I still can't enter my save.

As the launcher issue is fixed ignore that part. It has nothing whatever to do with your save game problem.
