Problems installing EU2-Asia Chapters

Just purchased the Strategy Six Pack...EU2 installed perfectly and I patched up to 1.09...no matter what I try, I cannot install EU2-Asia Chapters without corrupting my original EU2...anyone else have this problem or any suggestions?

Since the games are so simmilar you can only have one of them installed on your system at a time.

Thanks very much! That's kind of a bummer!!! That's okay though...too bad you can't direct the installs to different directories, though.

I will take care of it but double and cross posting like that is against board rules.

Then you pick the one you think most apropriate and if the Mod of that forum disagrees, then they will move it to the proper one.
 
Hmm... I suspect what you should do is install Asia Chapters, then make a complete copy of the folder, then uninstall it (to remove the registry entries), install EU2, and run Asia Chapters from the copy. Should work; I have both running on my computer, but that's because I have Strat. First EU2 1.00 and it doesn't seem to use the same registry entries as the 6-pack versions.

(PS To get Asia Chapters running properly, you should change the music.ini file so that it says music=music rather than music=drive:\music, and also make some edits to text.csv that are documented elsewhere. I would also recommend just using the Asia Chapters graphics and music over one of the new maps to get the complete Asian experience without having to play with an old version of EU2 :))
 
That's because it is a different publisher, and the registry is logged under that.
