I'm using the Typhoon Games (Asian) version of EU2, and although it says that the 1.08 patch is compatible with all versions of EU2, I'm unable to run EU2 after I installed the patch.
The error message is as follows

Critical Error!
--Error in DB--
Do you still want to continue?
Abort, Retry, Ignore

Choosing retry gives an illegal operation message, with this reason:
NORMAL caused an exception 03H in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0187:bff768a1.

Uninstall, you can follow Post #4 in the stickied self help thread for a manual one.

Reinstall, and only apply patch 1.08, no mods of any kind.

Also this is not the new Asia version with more provinces in Korea and stuff is it?

I just installed the 1.08 patch for mac, and now I can't load my autosaves, which is really annoying because it also will no longer go for more than 30 minutes without crashing. I am not amused.

Yeah. It's not the one with more provinces in Korea and etc. I solved the problem by starting EU2 by going to My Computer, etc etc, and starting from the exe file named EU2 instead of normal.exe or latin.exe

What's the difference between those 3 exe files anyway, if they all launch EU2?

Publishers write thier own installers and these others would be the result of the install So I have no idea. It could be language or CP issues.
