Problems with Beta Patch

In my last three games the muslim have managed to conquer territories as far north as Evereux. The Mongols have been able to conquer everything between the Russian Steppe and Lorraine. In my recent game, I had the pleasure of crusading against the Sheiks of switzerland, Milan, and Northern Italy. I thought the beta patches fixed this. I reinstalled Ck and the patches, yet I still get the same problem.

I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to fix this?

The beta patch fixed multiple bugs, but it is still possible for the heathens to do well... that was never the scope of it. Especially the Mongols may be disastrous if there are no strong European realms to fight them. I have seen the Mongols conquer over 90% of the map several times before.

I have written a few events that make it less likely for muslims to keep their spoils if these are done by patchwork conquest, and keep them out of the Atlantic, but no event can be perfect.
