Problems with converting

Hi,

i had given the converter a chance and encountered some problems. I converted EU2 1.08 AGCEEP save game to Vicky vanilla and while loading the game two errors occured:

illegal line XXXXXX 'slaves=yes' and
illegal line XXXXXX 'religion=catholic'

after that game crashed.

so i opened the savegame and deleted lines containing " 'slaves=yes' " (the lines were in spa, por, egypt and ethiopia data)

i run victoria one more time and while loading the game errors above did not emerged, but new ones appeared:

unidentified culture = mexico (mexico existed in my EU2 game)
unidentified culture = paltinate (??)

i chose "ignore" in error window and the game loaded. Mexico had 'mayan' culture.

any ideas what's gone wrong?

I think you have to download a different version of this converter to make it fit with Agceep.

That's the only thing I can think off.

michael, thanks for suggestion. I should have do that before. But it also should be mentioned in eu2vic FAQ.

So after updating vic to 1.03 loading problems dissapeared. But there are still few mistakes in country conversions f.e. Mazandran/Mughal Empire converts to Lubeck(!!). Mongolia to Burma, there are cherokee POPs in brazil.

So my question is:

What version of EU2 and VIC should i play to be sure that conversion will be as accurate as possible?

I would guess Vicky 1.03c to be the best to use, since that has been the most up-to-date version for quite some time, but I have to admit I might just be guessing here

Yeah 1.03 is the right version to use.

Does anyone know wich version of EU2 and scenario i should use to make this work? Last time i tried the (EU2)1700 scenario and the game allways crashed in the beginin of my Victoria game..

The best result I had was with AOI, Agceep and EP they work very well if you add the Agceep change to the converter.
