Problems with leading a faction

I'm currently playing as the Hightowers in the last available start date. The Ironborn have taken the Reach, but not Highgarden. I've married my male heir to the female heir of the Tyrells and so I want to press her father's claim. I'm not alone (that is with other lords of the Reach) in wanting to reinstate the rightful lord of Reach, but it won't fire. We have over 120% power in relation to our liege, but I keep getting a message for me to take over the faction. However, I can't find a way to do it. Any suggestions, or is this a problem in the game?

I wish I knew the solution to this as well but this has been a problem in this mod for as long as I can remember.I looked for someways to correct this glitch, but not surprisingly I didn't find an answer to what I was looking for and was told that the only REAL solution to this is to just wait patiently for the modders to correct this.Other than that that's all I can really answer you.Good day.

Do you have a save from when this problem was occuring you could upload please?

If you're not playing iron man just take over the character in charge of the faction and press demands than switch back
