Hi, i don't whether this has been addressed in the forum or not, but the Steam version of AoD suffers from lots of bugs. While the bug with the multiplayer section can be ignored, there has still some set backs that prevents us from enjoying. The most notable bug is the inability to save game, be it single or multi. Both my friend and me suffered the same symptom, hence i can not say that the problem lies in our hardware. When we try to save the game, the error was " Unable to load scenario...". Any one know about this bug for AoD 1.5? Will it be fixed for 1.6?
Thanks

The Steam version of 1.05 lacks a save games subfolder in the scenarios folder. The 1.06 version will create this subfolder if it's missing. But if you want to play your 1.05 Steam-version please manually create this subfolder.

I just bought the Steam version.
Do you know when the 1.06 will be released on Steam?
If not, can you give me a brief on how to create an 1.05 save games sub-folder.
Yes, I am computer inept.
Thanks

i have to say, i had this same problem..

this is unacceptable.. arsenal of democracy and paradox cannot sell games through steam if they dont include something as fundamental as a save folder...

if you are too lazy or incapable of making a game sell through the world's largest online provider.. then for the love of god.. please dont!

if i am buying an iphone from the apple store or from at&t .. its the same thing.. if you cant do that paradox... then well.. maybe the gaming industry just isnt for you

you cant do this.. its called selective quality ... if i had bought from gg i would have been fine... this is false advertising and fraud

Hi everyone

I don't condone Burke's reaction but a bit disappointed at buying a game I have to complete in one session!

I can make up my own save folder if I can find where Steam stores the game, anyone have any idea? I can only find the exe files in the Steam directory and nothing showing in my other folders.

Happy gaming and enjoy a fantastic 2011.

%your STEAM folder, if you don't know it then search it with windows, steam folder is named "STEAM"%\steamapps\common\arsenal of democracy\scenarios

for me
D:\STEAM\steamapps\common\arsenal of democracy\scenarios

then : create new folder "save games"

PS. this is a great issue but if you have no skills with computer, maybe is better a console to play (and a simple computer, like an old but gold pentium 3, to learn)

Thanks for the instructions,

Pier4r FYI
I also do play console games.
I usually wait a year or two before buying new Paradox games due to their inability to produce a quality product on the first attempt.

So by your logic if you are on a plane that is crashing into the ocean and you cant fix the plane it is your fault, and maybe it would be better if you only rode a bicycle!!!
(And I doubt you could repair a bicycle gearing system either)

So dont be silly, when we buy a product we expect the product supplied to be of a certain quality, Paradox (and Steam) have problems with this, their game concepts are fantastic and I enjoy playing their games, BUT their execution is often weak.
Which is why this forum is so busy all the time.

I totally agree! I objected on this:

You must know how to create folders!!!! (not for the game, but for general usage)
