Isn't it great, all this interaction on a New Forum.?
So the Message Board says, "Leather will be in demand in Coccolocco for the Next few years". I rock over with a fleet of EI's,full of Leathery Stuff and find the price is half what I paid for It.
Anybody had this experience and know the solution?

Being a new player, I have only responded to one of those messages. They needed Steel in the Canaries, but I could not get any from my home base of London. Since then I just ignore those requests. Unless you have the item in your warehouse or home base trading post (no alliances) by the time you find it the time has elasped.

You can always check the Trade Info table to see what a given port is paying for all products. But for leather specifically, even at double prices you'll never making a profit selling it anywhere except home port.

Most of my fleets are usually occupied serving trade routes, others pirating, transporting ironwares (for upgrading) or buying coffee and exotic furs. So when a notification of that kind comes out, I often don't have a free fleet to send. In rare occasions I sent my fleet to buy and sell this specific item, I didn't make much profit. So, like others, I ignore those notes.

My thought about this was that it would be good if captains finishing quests got some experience. This way player would be more encouraged to complete every task that's thrown at him. :)

Economy must be really bad if spammers start looking for female customers on the forums dedicated to historic strategy games. :)

I doubt any women will read this words.
