I am hereby asking very nicely for some new screenshots. Please? :)
I'll see what I can do. Perhaps one or two of the Betas are able to help out though... The problem with being a Dev is that you have little time for some in-depth game play. Quick screenies are no problem whatsoever, but AI in action requires a war being fought for one.

Oh, but that problem is rather easy solved. Just buy another computer and start a hands-off game! Won't take much time :)

Asking for a save should be easier I guess. Why buy another computer when I only have two hands to begin with? I'll see what I can do. But Beta #6 is about to be released, so it might take a couple of days.

Hi,

first of all, thanks to all the core team for their work, and sorry if this doesn't belong to this tread but i wanted to make a request for the 0.4 release.
Is it possibile to have a more "figurative" unit icons, more similira to the vanilla ones (that would work anyway)? I mean, for me (I know I suck...) it's kind of difficult to understand who's facing who during a battle looking at the counter-style icons. I know it's not important, but to me it would be a big improvement in termes of gameplay and fun.

Thanks, and please ignore this request if you think it's stupid or will distract you from other more important stuff.

Ehhm... Why don't you switch the option to use counters off in your game options? That should give you icons instead of counters.

Sorry I want's too clear. I wasn't talking of the units on the map, but about the icons you see on the left when you select an army or a battle. Those ones in core are like nato counters...

Ahh... like Skytth and Kristoff's (i.e. SKIF)... Well there is some CORE conversion for those lurking around here, and Kristoff stated he's considering doing a CORE variant as well. Mind you, the NATO symbology has it's fair share of fans as well, so we might want to provide a SKIF-style set as an extra install option but that's about it.

Well, that would be cool! I've missed the SKIF core icons... but sure I'll get it for 0.4 (if they'll make them)! Thanks again for the kindness and the patience!

@ Snowmelk - I'll try and post a few screenshots of the Beta 0.40.6 AI progress for you in the next day or so. I just need to work out how to post images on here.... :p

I definately can help you out on that front, if needed. :)

Thanks Hagar, I would appreciate the help. I have some very appetizing images for the CORE fans out there :D

I have them saved in Paint as JPEG files. Do I need to upload them to an image file server? Or should I just send them to you?

Alternatively - I could post them in the Beta forum and you could copy them into this forum, since I am unable to post images on here unless I use a URL.

Yes, SKIF icons will be cool if made compatibile with Core 0.40! I just started to love them when i played WiF mode, and now i'm sad in every mod that don't have them. ;)

@Snowmelk - I'm having major virus issues at the moment but once i have it sorted I'll do my best to post some pics up. Sorry to keep you in suspense!

I just want two things clarified for me:
1.Are the flags and such in the mod politically correct or historically correct?(I ask this because I A. am a history nut and B. want to know if I have to change some flags otherwise.)

2. Which powers will have custom graphics by default?(for example will Sweden have custom tanks or generic)

1. Politically correct, as we follow Paradox guidelines in this. If you want historical ones GIP supplies those, for one.
2. For 0.3.2.3 we have nation-specific graphics for GER, SOV and USA (provided you install the graphics pack add-on - we aim to keep the basic installer as small as possible). The 0.4.0 release, which is currently in Beta, will supply nation-specific models for GER, SOV, USA, FRA, ITA, ENG, JAP, HUN, ROM, CAN and hopefully/probably AST and NZL (currently a work-in-progress), as well as partial imagery for HOL, BEL and SWE, and perhaps even others depending on how long the Beta still has to run.

Hope that answers your question. :)

Nice, that is surprisingly big amount of nation-specific graphics. ;)
But for the last part of that sentence> I hope the beta will end very, very, very very soon, because when talking about releasing new CORE, yesterday was already too late. :D
