Has everyone already assumed that it's Victoria 3? Also, I think they will anounce it after HOI IV is released so PDS isn't too overburdened.

No. It's not a sequel. The guess is some kind of Rome or Migration Era game due to the push back of CK2's timeline and them blatantly saying it's not a sequel but the ability to have CK:Rome or Imperia Roma or something like that not TECHNICALLY be a sequel to EU:Rome

That or Ancient era (Rome or Peloponnesian War). But if Paradox goes for space, then Dune elements would be welcome. Well, at least for me.

With a healthy mix of Foundation. Pretty much the same setting though: Galactic empire and feudalism, though I think it'd be more fun with a less monolithic empire compared to Dune, more like further into the Foundation trilogy where the Empire is strong but weakening.

You're all totally missing the point.

Project Augustus. Augustus = Julius Caesar. Julius Csontoyi is a world renowned painter of dinosaurs and other paleolithic life.

Therefore, it's a grand strategy game about dinosaurs! Like the Civ 2 mod, but better!

Hey guys, remember when Paradox was going to make East vs West? Those were the days.

Anyways, my money is on an ancient-era game, or something not strategy-related at all.

I think they said it wasn't in the EvW cancellation thread because someone started saying that Augustus was totally a cold war game or something.

Makes sense since they were developing Augustus concurrently with EvW, so it would be bad to have two projects competing so directly. But one day they will make it, specially since EvW generated a bit of a buzz.

That's just wishing for a rome/dark ages game that isn't set in the past.

[some dude]Hi... I would like to ask if there is any plans to integrate different timeframes from
different games in the future maybe? Like CKII is now... You can... Your savegames can go into EUIV.
Are there any more plans like that?
[quill18]Ah, so you're talking about overlapping time periods between CKII, EUIV, Victoria or something?
[Johan]Yeah, whenever we announce Victoria III...
[Shams suddenly goes crazy, waiving his arms to make Johan stop talking]
[Johan]... we will make an expansion or a DLC...
[Shams still waiving his hands to make him stop talking]
[Johan]... that exports save games.
[Some guy on the stage takes the microphone from Johan and says]We can't confirm or deny that statement. I am sorry people.

If you look really closely you'll see the smug face on Johan as he says this with a cold heart into the camera knowing I would be watching.
If we ever do more converters I'm pretty sure I'm first hand choice to make the next ones

*goes cries in a corner*

Time consuming, is it? :p

Must be tiresome to accommodate for all the various additions that come with every single expansion...
