There's a good chance that one of these might be a new IP in the form of a Life-Sim.
One of my favourite old DOS games is SimEarth. Give me a new SimEarth and I'm eternally grateful.There's a good chance that one of these might be a new IP in the form of a Life-Sim.

That would be more appropriate for the people that make Cities: Skylines, which is published but not developed by Paradox.There's a good chance that one of these might be a new IP in the form of a Life-Sim.
All of these are PDS games, so I would say the chances are pretty much zero.There's a good chance that one of these might be a new IP in the form of a Life-Sim.
What happened to that game anyways? I seem to be out of touchCould one of these projects be Victoria's Secret - the dating sim of PDS Twitter fame?![]()

Why not something like this?So, once i fortold that project Augustus was some Sci-fi game like Twilight Imperium.
So, we have:
1) Titus
2) Tiberius
3) Caligula
My shot at this will be:
First, one of those game is fantasy. I guarantee. I can't say exactly, but there will be some inspiration from Arturian Legends.
Second, Norse-inspired game (mabe restart of Runemaster) that is like more tactical RPG than strategy.
Third, i can't say that i believe in Rome II or Victoria III, because of reasons. BUT! I would say Victoria III is more likely.
PS: screenshot this and save for later. ;D
Even though most of us dream of it, Paradox made clear that any pre-Rome game is never going to come due to a lack of historical sources regarding Hittites or Assyrians for example.
1. Fantasy
2. EU Rome 2
3. Victoria III
But another genre and fantasy are new IPs. May I ask what kind of games do you develop?First, it won't be Europa Universalis Rome 2, cause, if they will create it, it will be new IP.
Second, i don't think it will come out before CKII would end for number of reasons (mainly - cause it will take a lot from it).
I really doubt that they will make 3 GSGs. It isn't effective. Their DLC policy doesn't help to bring new players, and if old players will go to new IP it will stretch thin their income (the man can only buy finite number of dlcs). Thou it is true, that they can appeal to declining popularity of CKII (it has lowest number of active players) and release Rome IP for extra dosh. But, as developer myself, i would wait till CK2 ends. Reasoning:
1) CKII and Rome will have too similar systems and will feel somewhat same;
2) most features of CKII will go to Rome IP and, while there still are DLCs, there is no point to rush the product;
3) Rome is popular, but is it really worth it? What unique features can it bring to the table of PDX titles? Victoria is game about industrialization, so there it is. Fantasy game will have some kind of magic, so it helps it. And what Rome will give? Manage your dynasty? Egh, CKII. War? They won't surpass HoI. Colonisation? Meh, EU and Vic are better for this. Imho, except releasing Rome cause it is about Rome, there is only one thing that can really bring something to the table: Barbarian Invasion.
Like, really, EU4, CKII, HoIIV, Stellaris + another 3 gsg? Doubt it. One of those projects is 100% some other genre of game on good ol' Clauzewits.
Ofc i can be biased, cause i really love Runemaster idea.
It could be like this:
1) Fantasy;
2) Another genre, unknown setting;
3) Victoria III;

I mean, it's pretty obvious:
Three names for one project
Three names
Three
3
Victoria 3
No wait... that's too simple. Let's try something else.
Titus was Roman emperor from 79 to 81. During his reign Mount Vesuvius erupted and destroyed the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The preserved remains of those cities give us an important insight to Roman life. Hence: Europa Universalis: Rome 2.
Tiberius was Roman emperor from 14 to 37. During his reign Jesus preached and was eventually crucified. Jesus' religion would grow to become Christianity. When was Christianity a dominant force in Europe? During the Middle Ages. Hence: Crusader Kings 3.
Caligula was Roman emperor from 37 to 41. He is known as the insane emperor, but what's more important that during his reign Mauretania was annexed to the Roman Empire. Who controls Mauretania these days? Morocco, except for the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, held by Spain. Spain also held other overseas territories, such as most of Southern and Central America. After losing these colonies in the early 1800s, Spain was left with Cuba and Puerto Rico in America. Who controls Puerto Rico now? The United States. When did the USA acquire Puerto Rico? 1898. What else happened in 1898? Émile Zola wrote J'accuse. Zola was born in Paris. Paris is in France. Which country is the historic rival of France? England. Who was the monarch of England at the time? Queen Victoria. Hence: Victoria 3.
