Is this an official patch/change to the game? If not then does this thread not belong in the Mod forum?

Nothing official, just the server being busy.. (and apparently, not carrying out the move..)

also, even if I did leave it on the main forum intentionally, despite all the objections you post, you should know better than to argue that in public.

You are absolutely right ForzaA..

I apologize.... I did not intend it to be an argument or a disagreement on my part with any decision that you or any moderator would make...

My post was deleted....

Athens -> in Greek Αθηνα -> transcription Athina

I thought the usual transliteration of Athens was Athena.

If you need Polish province names (only wrong written):
Danzig --> Gdańsk
Poznan --> Poznań
Lodz --> Łódź
Czestochowa --> Częstochowa
Cracow --> Kraków
Przemysl --> Przemyśl
Zamosc --> Zamość
Torun --> Toruń
Warsaw --> Warszawa
Lomza --> Łomża
Suwalki --> Suwałki
Bielsk --> Bielsk Podlaski
Bialystok --> Białystok
Lvov --> Lwów (Ukrainian Lviv)

Luniniec --> Łuniniec
Brest Litovsk --> Brześć Litewski
Slonim --> Słonim
Molodeczno --> Mołodeczno

And provinces claimed by Poland after 1945:
Elbing --> Elbląg
Stettin --> Szczecin
Kuestrin --> Kostrzyn
Oppeln --> Opole
Breslau --> Wrocław

Mumia outposted me with Polish names :) so I just put here:

Memel - Kłajpeda
Koenigsberg - for Poles&Lithuanians it was always Królewiec and since USSR got hands on it [:p ] it is Kaliningrad (yeap you guess it right - the very same Michaił Kalinin)

I'm not sure if it should be used polish name for Memel/Kłajpeda province, maybe you should use lithuanian name - Klaipėda or not change its name as Germans used Memel at this time period.

Is there any plan of reworking these poor province borders? Has any one enough skill to make completely new map like Clio Project for Victoria or MYMAP or Kasperus map for EU2? It would be wonderful If that Map Editor was compatible with older Net Framework version like 2.0 (I can't update it, I have an error when I try do it).

I just have one change:

Bilbao <--> Euskadi

That's a more suitable way to refer to that area.

All right, we have collected names for POL, YUG, GER, SPA, SPR, CZE, and GRE. We still need names for Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia), Hungary, and Italy, except:

Rome -> Roma
Venice -> Venezia

Thanks in advance!

Here are maps for Baltic States. I dont have game anywhere near me (and I only remember general layout of Lithuanian provinces ;) ), maps are small, with native language names, so I uploaded them. :). Hope it helps! Source: http://www.aboutromania.com/maps00.html

Yes, you forgot this one:

Bilbao <--> Euskadi

Better to name a province with the name of an area rather than by one of it's cities.

Antwerp -> Antwerpen
Brussels -> Brüssel/Brussel
Ghent -> Gent
Kandalaksja -> Kandalaksha

Non-European:
Bakhtaran -> Kermanshah
Changde (PROV1397) -> Chengde

That may be the case in the EU series but in HOI practically every province is named after a city.

And some regions could have long names, that cannot fit in the province. For example, territories in YUg would be called: Pristina -> Kosovo i Metohija; Nis -> Karpatsko-balkanska oblast, Uzice -> Podrinjsko-valjevsko-macvanska oblast...
