Prussian French War in 1870

First of all I am German and my english is not so good so please try to understand my problem

I am playing with prussia and in 1970 I was asked if i want to have one of my man on the spanish throne. (The Hohenzollern-War in german). This message also says that France will declare war on me but they are not doing this. This wouldnt be a big problem but in 1971 i get a message saying that I have lost this war!! But this war never existed!
After loosing this "war" I lost controll over the "Norddeutschen Bund" and so I am not able to unite Germany.
I hope u can help me or if it is a bug fix it as fast as possible.

Perhaps you've fighted the french before and lost this war?!
Then the event will trigger too!

Yeah I lost a war about 10 years before against the french. And because of this the other war isnt started AND I am loosing this war which was never started? This is very bad!

Well look at it this way - if Bismarck had fought and lost a war against Napoleon III then Prussia's reputation would have been badly damaged and the aftereffects of the war in that event you had would not be unreasonable.

The problem is - I would argue - not that you had the event but the event triggered 10 years too late.

The reason why it works like this is to make the "historical path" work. The "Fall of Prussia" should probably be triggered anytime after 1848 IMHO - not after 1870
