Pulli is the oldest human settlement in Estonia, and one of the oldest in Europe. Archaeological evidence shows that the first settlers arrived at the Pulli settlement around 11,000 years ago.
In all, 1,175 items have been found in a 1,000-square-metre area, including tools mostly made of black flint, bone and horn. Black flint is not naturally found in Estonia; however, it can be found in Belarus and southern Lithuania. Therefore, scholars believe that flint was brought by the first settlers who arrived in the territory of Estonia, including the hunters and fishermen of the Stone Age Pulli settlement. Pulli also contains Europe's oldest evidence of domesticated dogs.
The settlement ruins can now be found two kilometers from the town of Sindi, Estonia.
