Chapter 2 Part 3
Soon, the siege ended and Ivan took Abydos. However, he realised that there were several other sultanates which could easily be taken. Ivan declared war on the Sultanate of Saruhan. After a close battle, which was only won by a lot of luck and superior numbers, there was another siege. Just after it started, Maria became pregnant. The priests decided that it must be a miracle from God, a gift given because of Ivan's crusading. Ivan still didn't really believe this, but there was no other explanation as Ivan had been sitting in camp all the time and Maria was not the adulterous type. The siege proceeded well, and Ivan took heart in the fact that soon he would get to return home. Another army tried to attack, but they retreated quickly.
However, Ivan decided that it would be best to take the lands of another infidel, the Sultan of Aydin, after finishing the other siege. Just at that moment, the Sultanate of Osmanli declared war on the county of Épieros, Ivan's allies. Ivan was unable to help them as it would of meant a war on two fronts with troops he didn't have.
After arriving in Aydin, Ivan had to take part in another battle. It was easily won though, and another siege was started. Soon it was over, and everybody thought they were free to return home. However, Ivan's marshal, Mutimir, insisted that there was another country just next door that could be easily defeated. Ivan sighed, and felt like hanging Mutimir from the nearest tree. However, he decided against it as he was not a cruel man and Mutimir was excellent with the military.
The troops marched down the forest path. It was starting to get dark. Suddenly, troops leapt out from bushes. The scene descended into chaos. The ambushers were defeated, but many men were dead and everybody was getting restless. "Listen!" shouted Ivan, trying to bring order from the chaos. "There is no point in continuing. Everybody shall return home." This news was greeted well.
Back at home, everything was much rosier. Ivan created the titles Prince of Samos and Prince of Abydos, making Mihail Prince of Abydos and giving him Abydos and Ephesos to rule. The future looked good. But no-one knows what the future will hold..

After the march to Abydos, there was a siege. Ivan also sired another bastard. Although his wife Maria disapproved of this behaviour, she did not exact a punishment on Ivan and instead reserved her judgement.Soon, the siege ended and Ivan took Abydos. As this is sapping quite a bit of my time, I will probably play until I reunite the Byzantine Empire and then stop.
Chapter 3
Although Ivan wanted to stay at home, political circumstances stopped him. The Sultanate of Osmanli attacked the County of Épieros again, and Ivan realised that if they were not defeated, they would become a major power in the region. So a call for mobilisation was sent out and war was declared upon the Sultanate. Unfortunately, the County of Épieros was quickly annihalated and so Ivan had to continue the fight on his own. His first objectives were the two provinces formerly held by the county of Épieros. His forces were shipped down there while his other forces, under the Prince of Varna, marched to the Osman homelands. Ivan had been told by his marshal that this was a good plan, although Ivan had some doubts. Maria also wanted to come with Ivan, so he reluctantly let her. After getting on the boat, Maria quickly fell pregnant, sometihng celebrated by more water for everybody. Dorbrotizta's army (the Prince of Varna) had to make course for Abydos as news had been heard of Osmanli troops heading there. However, once Dorbrotitza reached Abydos, he also discovered something much worse: Smyrna had been taken and a huge Osmanli army was heading towards Abydos! Dorbrotitza prepared for battle.
Meanwhile, Ivan was doing well. There was no opposition in Épieros, but this made Ivan suspicious. Where was the main Osmanli army...?
Back at Abydos, Dorbrotitza's troops were fighting for their lives. It would be almost impossible to defeat the huge Osmanli force, but Dorbrotitza could try. After fighting valiantly for a day, the Osmanli turned tail and fled.
Comforting news reached Ivan: the Principality of Kiev was also in a war versus the Osmanli. Ivan hoped that they would relive some of the pressure on his troops. At the same time, he heard of the great victory at Abydos. Some reinforcements were on the way to help the Kievans. The future of the war looked bright.

Ivan talked to the people for much of the night. It is not known what he said to them, but when he came out of the tent, he was heard to say "God they're good!". There were three brothers and their sister, along with the eldest's wife. The very next
day, Ivan appointed them as his chancellor, martial, spy master and steward.
It's back! Sorry that this update is short. The people have really high stats. I modded them myself. I will only marry their offspring

Ivan sat in his tent while most of the soldiers got ready for a short rest. There was a small knock on the material. What is it, Ioan?" Ivan asked. "It's these people outside. They're threatining the guards unless they get granted an audience with you," Ioan replied, his voice slightly shaking. "Why can't the guards deal with them?" sighed Ivan. "They're oo scared, your majesty." Ivan laughed. "Bring them in!"Ivan talked to the people for much of the night. If anybody is still reading this, I'm sorry that the pictures have gone. I may get them to work sometime. I will get one last update out tonight and then I will be away until Thursday.
Chapter 3 Part 3
Two days later a peace offering from the Bey of Épieros came. This was of course rebuffed. It was also noticed that there was a siege in Abydos. Dorbrotitza decided to stand his ground in Smyrna though. Ivan Stratzmir also came of age, and a suitable wife was to be found. A suitable match was found in the daughter of the duke of Cumberland. However, the rest of the war on osmanli was not looking bright. Abydos was captured by the Osmanli, Herakliea was captured by the Kievans and the troops were struggling in the siege of smyrna. The only good news was that Ivan managed to take Épieros. He quickly moved south to Arta. This was quickly captured and Ivan swang round with his large army to take on the Osmanli homelands. Ivan Stratzmir's marriage was obviously succesful as his wife quickly fell pregnant. However, Mihail was more worrying as his marriage was only producing girls.In Abydos, Ivan's siege was going well, but Dorbrotitza was fighting in Kyzikos. He had initially been sent there to reinforce the Hospitalliters Order but they were defeated before Dorbrotitza reached them and so he had to face the Osmanli, outnumbered 3:1. However, Ivan was oblivious to this and decided to give out titles to his two mature sons - Mihail (he had lost all of his land to the Osmanli) and Ivan Stratzmir. Mihail gained Arta and Ivan Stratzmir got Dorobstorum. In Kyzikos, Dorobtitza's troops routed as they realised they had no chance of winning. Ivan did manage to complete the siege in Abydos and it was added to his relam. Maria finally gave birth to a daughter. Ioan, Ivan's brother, asked for Thomasina's hand in marriage, which Ivan gladly accepted.
This is actually a pretty good AAR and quite funny. I think my favourite line so far is the one about his needing another wife even if he would cheat on her.
Chapter 3 Part 4
Ivan decided to go to Kyzikos next, to try and rescue the rest of Dorbrotitza's army. When Ivan arrived, he discovered a huge army of over 9000 men waiting for him. However, the cowardly forces quickly ran, leaving Ivan to siege this last remaining Osmanli province, as teh Kievans had taken the rest. Strangely, during the night Ivan was seen to run from the camp, although no reason was given. Finally, after a year the war with the Osmanli was over and everybody could get back home.When Ivan got home, he made Dorbrotitza give him back the titles of Count of Smyrna and Count of Kyzikos. Dorbrotitza did, but only very reluctantly. Ivan now had time to go through all his duties.
Yea, this one's short, but I've been busy lately.
