Many thanks to those that voted for WOTR and a huge thanks to @Nikolai for once again facilitating this endeavor (especially with health complications.)

Congratulations to all the winners!

Congratulations to all the winners and the other nominees.

Thanks again to @Nikolai for his hard work on pulling these awards together each quarter.

And a quick thanks to those who have continued to support my own stories.

Congratulations to the winners. Thanks to all those who voted, and of course, thanks to @Nikolai for soldiering on to conclude these ACA's despite their medical issues, and thanks to all of the writAARs who continue to delight and entertain us with their work.

I have absolutely nothing new or interesting to add, but I feel I should anyway. Congratulations to all our winners, particularly @Eurasia on taking home the big prize and of course thanks to @Nikolai for running these awards from their sickbed, truly above and beyond the forum call of duty.

Where was this forum upgrade when we needed it? ;)

Thank you to all the voters and congrats to all the winners. We are all winners. Though the Field Marshall says he is the only winner who counts. The Field Marshall is pleased but the Empress is not and has demanded a fight to the death in a caged match on live TV. She had been turned down and, in reponse, has sent ninjas through time to kill him.

- Quick, I am stumped! You guys; help me, c’m’on!

<[drums] looks at the frantic filcat, but with an ever-increasing doubt under heavily frowning eyes. Nevertheless, it is the [bass] who speaks first.>

[bass]: Hang on. You are saying; you are unable to find…?
- Look just help me out, I have no time to explain, and –

<Before [lead guitar] can interrupt, a gunshot is heard. The frantic filcat is flung towards the wall, then hits it, and slowly collapses, while holding his throat, trying to breathe, as blood spurts over every bit of wall, floor, ceiling around his immediate vicinity.>
<[lead guitar] walks towards to collapsed figure, and checks the veins.>

[lead guitar]: You killed him. Great.
[bass]: Why did you not wait for him to explain? It is possible filcat had issues for a while to deal with? You know, life happens?

<[rhythm guitar] slowly lowers his gun, but does not holster.>

[rhythm guitar]: No. A filcat would never be out of ideas to create. I do not know what he or it was, but that was definitely not a filcat. An impostor? I do not know, and it will not be a problem anymore.

<[drums] rolls his eyes. The group is about to enter the recording-room through the door next to them, and suddenly he speaks.>

[drums]: Wait. If that was not a filcat, then…? Do you understand what this means?

<The band suddenly realises the situation they are in, freezes at their standpoints, and they look at each other with thundering scrutiny.>

[bass]: Zal?
[lead guitar]: Steve?
<The seconds slow down, until each of them draws their weapons, pointing at one another.>
[rhythm guitar]: Damn Joe; is that a bazooka?!
<[drums] is slowly taking one step backwards at a time, while holding his rocket launcher.>
[drums]: I do not care. If I go down, all go down, along with the building. OK!?
[lead guitar]: You gotta admit Joe, this is most suspicious. Maybe you are the filcat?
[drums]: FAQ YOU ZAL! Why don’t we talk about your machine gun?? And no, the filcat must be John! He was the one to shoot that impostor! Even before we could try to understand what the hell was going on!
[bass]: That is actually true. John, would you like to elaborate?
[rhythm guitar]: I will ruin you Steve, if you even try any move against me.
[lead guitar]: All right – calm da faq down. CALM DA FAQ DOWN! Thank you. Now. We all were there, right? We got the invitation, read it together. “Come quick! For Nikolai, and for all AARlanders, congratulations, celebrations, felicitations!” Now. Lower the weapons. All of you. Are we doing it or what?
[rhythm guitar]: That is one lazy rhyme. By the way, what about you? And Steve has been the one tried to defend that impostor. You lower that rifle, then we can talk.
[lead guitar]: I swear, one more word comes out of you!...
[bass]: Who cares? WHO DA FAQ CARES?! I know I am not, or maybe I am a filcat, and I do not even know about it! Look, perhaps all of us are filcats?! So what?! Let’s go into the faqing recording and be done with it! This is supposed to be the moment of joy and music, not a bloodbath!

<The band look at each other for a more seconds shorter than minutes but longer than forever. They slowly walk towards the door of the recording-room, while still holding their weapons at one another.>

<They enter the room, move to their instruments. They are still pointing the weapons, looking with threatening, worried, vigilant eyes. The seconds melt into the dynamics of the light escaping the event at the horizon. A fly passes through the hall, its noise is heard through the door, but none of them can pay any attention, as their eyes are locked on each other, jumping to another, turning from one side to the other, while their breathing sounds cover the room, deafening their ears, even hiding the tilting frequency of their unnoticeably shaking arms, hands, fingers.>

Hot town, summer in the AARland
Back of my neck gettin' dirt' 'n' gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity?
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the AARland
All around, writAARs running through AARs
Lookin' at
the forums, hotter than a match head

But at night it's a different world
Go out and find an AAR
Come on, come on and read all night
Despite the heat it'll be alright

And AARlanders, don't you know it's a pity
The days can't be like the nights
In the summer, in the AARland
In the summer, in the AARland

Cool town, ev'nin' in the AARland
Create
so fine and writin' so pretty
Cool lurkAAR lookin' for a comment
Gonna look in every corner of the AARland
'Til I'm wheezin' like a bus stop
Runnin' up to the forums, gonna meet you at the ACAs

But at night, it's a different world
Go out and find an AAR
Come on, come on and write all night
Despite the heat, it'll be alright

And AARlanders, don't you know it's a pity
The days can't be like the nights
In the summer, in the AARland
In the summer, in the AARland

Hot town, summer in the AARland
Back of my neck gettin' dirt' 'n' and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity?
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the AARland
All around, writAARs rejoicin' at the ACAs
Celebratin'
on the forums, hotter than a match head

But at night, it's a different world
Go out and cheer for @Nikolai
Come on, come on and dance all night
Despite the heat, it'll be alright

And AARlanders, don't you know it's a pity
The days can't be like the nights
In the summer, in the AARland
Summer in the AARland [*]

Congratulations to all winners, to all writAARs, to all readAARs, to all commentAARs, to all votAARs, and of course, all the cheers for Nikolai!
