Description​

When I'm in a tournament, sometimes the qualification score just constantly resets everytime I increase it, making it impossible to compete.

Join a tournament with the intent of triumph

This keeps happening to me too! Not only that, but if I go over the threshold right before the tournament starts, it tells me I didn't qualify

Similarly here. I've kept a save game and can attach if needed.

Version: 1.9.0.4 (5780)


It's very frustrating, travelling from Denmark to Montenegro for a wrestle tourney, having the highest prowess out of all participants and being rejected :eek:

EDIT:
I wonder if this is something to do with my Champion not being present (commanding armies in the north):

If I fire him just before the activity starts, the message changes but the problem persists:

EDIT #2:

I found an older save, before embarking on the journey to the tournament. Fired my champion before I joined but it still ends up with the same issue so I doubt the champion is to blame here.

Hello there! Thank you for your report. I would gladly check that game save, so I would be grateful if you could attach it. Were you playing as a woman by any chance?

Not OP but the last time it happened to me, I was. Catholic Italo-Arpitan culture so default male dominated martial.

It's pretty annoying to have this she-hulk of a character (who was never even supposed to inherit) not even qualify at her own tourney. I really like that ToTo gave a great use to high-prowess PCs but this needs to be fixed - if I can command armies as a ruler, I should be able to wrestle with the lads (don't worry, I'll wear a sports bra).

Hello there, thanks for answering. I have added the savegame in which I encountered the problem to the threat. I did continue it at some point without encountering the problem again. I don't know if it still helps you in that case, but it's all I have anymore. I do remember, that I didn't play a female character at the time of it happening. In case it might help, I think I remember, that I changed intent mid-tournament, so that might have caused the issue. Anyway thanks for all your hard work!

In my experience this wasn't a reset on qualification score, but rather a significant drop. (IE I went down to 2, not 0). I assumed it was because the AI are visiting locals and either gaining qualification or sabotaging mine. Maybe the is WAD?

Attached two save files, one before embarking and one a day before qualification with score that gets reset.

I was having a similar issue with a melee tournament, so I looked at the scripts. There is an is_healthy = yes check that was abruptly disqualifying me.

Basically you can't compete in a melee if you are severely wounded or in poor health.(also a bunch of other more obviously things like the plague or being incapable)
Seems fine for it to work that way, but it should do a better job of notifying the player. For example, if unhealthy the progress to victory shouldn't show that you are guaranteed to qualify, it should say you are unhealthy and won't qualify.
The other tournament types do not have this check.
 
Also, I'm not sure if you're supposed to get random events during such a tournament (but I'm now assuming you do, as another one I went to I chose to recruit but nothing happened to that end apparently), but I should add that the only interaction I got to have is when I visit one of the locations.
 
I didn't have this problem when the DLC first released, but recently it keeps happening! Even with an insane high prowess and a maxed Hastiluder trait I cannot qualify no matter what. I noticed too it keeps switching me to not participating and I have to keep swapping back.

Thank you for the report, and to all that contributed. Those issues were added to our database, and some should be fixed as for 1.9.1. If issues still occur in some situations without any information about why, please report them in a new thread with preferably save attached. o7
