Not almost.

I am well aware of that.

Being put in an isolated position is not the worst that can happen. Being put in someone's way, now...

Being put next to Johan and have an Alliance with him means you are dead within first session usually. Not by Johan's enemies but by Johan himself. Nusia knows that all too well. How many times have he fallen for that now? 2? 3?

LOL sounds like you guys have some fun :D

I will get onto my application this weekend...

sort of a once in a life time opportunity really LOL

I've lost count of it. :/ And I'll probably fall for it several times to come as well. He is very convincing that this time the alliance will be for real. THIS time! :p

Cool!

Are you telling me that we are even now? :p

Or that Johan's retribution is incoming....
I have to say it would be fun to see DDRJake in the MP just so I can kick his ass

If you guys had asked when I was doing a semester at KTH, I would have loved to have stayed and worked with you guys. Right now the lack of relocation package is a dealbreaker. Having to pay travel costs for a plane ticket halfway across the world, security deposits and all that are just too expensive

Not that I have any special skills besides being a history nerd and linux neckbeard for the last decade so I probably wouldn't get hired anyhow.

There is no such thing as even. Problem is that you are not a reliable ally longterm.

The lack of a relocation package is a kinda tough for me as well, as I am located in what would be known as a second-world country and my current salary is nowhere near the levels of the EU, however if I get accepted, it's not a really big deal to make a small loan to cover first month expenses and then pay it back if the salary is fair. My advantage is that I have a friend which can host me for the first month until I get settled in. Romanians are everywhere and we're a tight-nit community.

Rant: However this is common for EU jobs, my last offer was for a job for the European bureaucracy in Brussels and I turned it down for similar reasons: having to pay a 2-way plane ticket for the interview. That's the deal-breaker. I don't invest in what-ifs. It's inexcusable that, in 2014-2015, a company doesn't do Skype interviews or Google Docs tests. It means that the company is not ready for innovation so it's not for me.

The part with us not being able to provide with a relocation package is understandably regretful. When it comes to the intervju part (and I think I am correct here, but dont trust me 100% on this part since I do not have the final say on this), we will most likely do the first part of the intervju through skype, and if said candidate is still promising, I think we should be able to bring that person over here for a face to face talk without him/her having to buy the ticket from their own pocket. Yet again, I as wrote above, I THINK this should be possible, but I will need to check things up just to be sure.

Whatever you guys do, it's fine by me and I will adjust my decisions accordingly. After everything I've been through in Romania, I can deal with the tough decisions and expenses associated with those.

I'm not sure I can compete with ddrjake though, he is literally the ultimate EU tester. My only advantages over him is modding experience and work experience in the field.

I like it when the competition is rough.

Good to see Paradox proactively seeking to address the failings in the company at present. Good luck with the search and good luck to all applicants
You're assuming the problem is that the bugs are not being found. May I present my alternate hypothesis: QA actually finds lots of bugs already but there are not enough programmers to fix them...

Well that's not to bad, and on that with the Skype, if someone doesn't have a webcam for their computer (like me) would i have to go buy one? so that you guys know its a legitimate job thing from me?

and also while were at it whats the avg income? do you guys pay in EURO's or Krona's? just kinda curious is all, since being an Australian and only knowing what a dollar is worth ;D

A webcam would be "nice" to have as it is so much better to see one another when talking. On the subject of salery I can't disclose anything here unfortunatly, but we are above the standard when it comes to QA in the games industry in Sweden. And since it is located in Sweden, the salary will be paid out in swedish krona.
