I am in a quandary as to what focus on going forward. I started my first character in the Offing Dynasty in Essex. I expanded and conquered just enough to set my son up to create the Kingdom of England. Meanwhile he had a son that went onto Europe and married. Character died and son went on to become the King of England. Cruising along and I have been sort of keeping track of him. He is over in Carnithia.

I don't get very far with my second character, 10 years or so and then he dies. A few years before he dies the son is now King of Illyria.

This is where I am at. The Kingdom of Illyria is roughly 3 times the size of The Kingdom Of England. Threat is at 20% because of the son.

Distance to capital, cultural and religious differences all influence the rebeliousness vassals. Pick whatever you like more and make it your main kingdom title, and possibly switch the culture to accomodate it's vassals. If you want, you may try to keep both and make an Empire out of it. Or swear fealty to Carolingian Empire if it exists instead to get their protection and make your realms feel less disconnected, but in that case be warned that if you decide to usurp it, you will have to either turn Chistian, or it will become a non-dejure Frankish Empire and your other vassals will break from you.

My character up and died after 10 years. So now I have stayed with the Kingdom of Illyria. The King of England has expand and has under his control most of modern day England and Whales. I will have to check if he has a son yet. :)
